Who has an account?
Every alum, student, and current parent has their own account.
How do I get my account information so I can log in?
If you have an email address on file with Holy Family:
- Go to the login page
- Click on "Initialize Account/Password Reminder"
- Enter your email address in the space provided
- Click "Request User Information," which will automatically send you an email containing a custom link back to the website
- Click the link in the email (within one day of being generated)
- Enter a new password and if you want a new user name
If you are a parent who does not have an email address on file, please contact the school office to provide us with your email.
If you are a student who has an email address, you must inform the school office of your email in person.
If you are a student who does not have an email account, there are many sites that allow you to create free email accounts. If this is not a desirable option, a secondary form is available in the main office which you may use to activate your account without having an email on file at the school. This form requires a parent/guardian signature.
Why can't you just tell me my account information?
As a security measure, Holy Family's web account system was created in such a way that is is virtually impossible for even the system creator to determine a user's password. Holy Family can force the system to reset a user's password, but we can never look up a password. Having email addresses tied to accounts is vital to ensuring that someone else does not attempt to access your account.
Is there a difference between parent and student accounts?
Yes! While both accounts contain much of the same information, they are designed specifically for the type of user logging in, and there are some elements unique to the user logged in. These unique features will continue to expand as the system is developed further.
Do parents have separate accounts for each student at Holy Family?
No. Each parent account provides access to all children at Holy Family. After logging in, a list of children will display on the right side of your screen. Clicking on a specific student provides parents with additional information for that student, such as missing assignments, classroom files, etc. Some pages, such as "Current Grades," will include a pull-down list through which parents select the student whose records they wish to view.
Why do I see my spouse's name at the top of the page after I log in?
There are two possible explanations for this error - both stemming from the email address used to access your web account:
1) Holy Family may have inadvertently entered your email address
under your spouse's information.
2) You and your spouse share an email account.
There is no harm in having both parents log onto the site using the same username and password, as long as both parents are aware of the joint account. To set up separate accounts, please contact the school office to provide a different email address for either you or your spouse. This change may take a few days to go into effect. The new account will then need to be activiated through the website ("Initialize Account").
